The long, narrow space is like a backdrop to The Village of Yorkville Park, an urban park design by Martha Schwartz. A shallow mezzanine narrows the double height space, which is flanked by tall slender windows.

The interior is designed as a reflection of the park - a linear framework with a narrative. Vertical lines begin at the floor and wind their way up through the space.

Vertical planted wall elements are embedded in millwork at regular intervals. Aligned with them, lighting below the mezzanine is skewed and clad in mirrors. The lights overlap the space of the short and tall volumes. Finally, suspended plants and winding neon carry up to the ceiling.

A gentle reminder to enjoy the tree canopies in the park.
